Siemens has partnered with Battery-NY, a Binghamton University-led initiative, to develop a digital and automation framework for a New York battery pilot facility. The collaboration establishes standardized data principles to integrate equipment from multiple builders into a single scalable system. Siemens will provide the industrial data foundation and a roadmap for Digital Twin simulations.
The initiative creates a blueprint to accelerate the construction and reliability of future battery factories.
Separately, Siemens reduced its voting stake in Siemens Energy to 4.98%. This ownership threshold was crossed on September 8, 2026.
