Siemens Mobility signed a turnkey contract worth up to €1 billion with VinSpeed, a subsidiary of Vingroup. The agreement covers the supply of trains and rail systems for two new high-speed lines in Vietnam.
The company will deliver 10 Velaro Novo high-speed trainsets. Siemens will also install signaling, electrification, and communications systems for the infrastructure project.
The Hanoi–Quang Ninh and Ben Thanh–Can Gio lines are currently under construction. Both routes are expected to be operational by 2028.
This deal follows a framework agreement signed between the two companies in December 2025. In a separate development, Siemens announced an order from Railpool for 100 Vectron X locomotives.
