Elon Musk’s xAI has released Grok Voice 3.0, a speech-to-speech model the company calls the “world’s most intelligent.” Independent tests by Artificial Analysis rank it first on the Speech-to-Speech Index, ahead of models from Google and OpenAI.
The model responds in under one second and handles millions of daily conversations in Tesla vehicles and for Starlink customer support. It resolves roughly 70% of Starlink’s support calls without human intervention.
Developers can access Grok Voice 3.0 through an API for $0.08 per minute, the same price as its predecessor. xAI says the model is more cost-effective than rival offerings, citing benchmarks that show a lower average cost per task than OpenAI models.
The release adds to competition in the enterprise AI market, particularly in customer service.
