The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified the Boeing 737 MAX 10, the largest model in the 737 MAX family. Announced on October 20, 2026, the approval follows a prolonged review and clears the way for Boeing to begin deliveries to airline customers in the coming months.

The MAX 10 accounts for over 30% of Boeing’s unfilled 737 MAX orders. It can seat up to 230 passengers and completed nearly 1,000 test flights as part of extensive safety assessments.

The MAX 10 is the first commercial plane certified under the more stringent 2020 Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act, which includes enhanced safety system requirements.
