Boeing is set to begin delivering 737 MAX aircraft to Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) in December, marking a significant milestone for the program. The companies have worked to strengthen safety and quality controls ahead of the handover, including through on-site inspections by ANA.
The deliveries will make ANA a new operator of the 737 MAX, which has faced intense scrutiny following earlier safety issues. The planned handover adds a major airline to the aircraft’s operator base as Boeing works to rebuild confidence in its best-selling aircraft family.
