The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted Boeing an emissions rule exemption for 35 additional 777F freighters.

This waiver extends production beyond the December 31, 2027, cutoff for new international CO2 standards.

Boeing requested the extension to prevent a multi-year supply gap in its cargo aircraft lineup.

Delays pushed the launch of the compliant 777-8F freighter program to approximately 2029.

The exemption allows Boeing to deliver these 35 aircraft through the end of 2030.
