Boeing and Turkish Airlines finalized an agreement for up to 150 737 MAX aircraft. The deal includes a firm order for 100 737-8 jets and options for 50 additional planes. This transaction represents the carrier's largest-ever single-aisle order with Boeing.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the signing ceremony in New York. The agreement concludes negotiations that began in 2025. Turkish Airlines retains substitution rights to convert orders into the larger 737-10 variant.
The new fuel-efficient fleet will support short- and medium-haul operations from the Istanbul hub. Turkish Airlines and its subsidiary AJet currently operate more than 200 Boeing aircraft.
