Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) selected American Airlines as the primary carrier for its upcoming West Terminal. This project marks the first new terminal construction at the airport since 1990.
The development serves as a central component of the Destination PHX 2050 program. This long-range infrastructure plan aims to accommodate an anticipated 90 million annual passengers.
The new terminal will support domestic and international growth by hosting more wide-body aircraft. American Airlines currently reinforces its status as the largest carrier in the region, managing over 40% of all passenger traffic at the airport.
