XPeng’s eVTOL division, AeroHT, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on September 20, 2026. The partnership establishes an advanced air mobility regulatory sandbox to standardize airworthiness and safety frameworks. This initiative will define rules for the commercial use of flying cars within the region.

The collaboration includes planning an inter-emirate flight route between Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. AeroHT will conduct environmental flight tests in Ras Al Khaimah to evaluate performance in high-temperature and sandy conditions. These tests aim to verify commercial viability for tourism, urban shuttles, emergency rescue, and oil platform surveys.
