XPENG Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng delivered a keynote address at the Paris Automotive Summit, becoming the first Chinese auto CEO to do so. He called for deeper global collaboration as AI and electrification reshape the industry, and introduced XPENG AI Engineering, which opens the company’s full-stack technologies to global partners. XPENG is targeting a global expansion of its Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) system in 2027 and aims to begin mass production of its humanoid robot, IRON, in late 2026.
Separately, XPENG is set to debut the Mona L05 and begin pre-sales on the same day. The new large five-seat electric SUV is aimed at young consumers in China and will be offered in all-electric and extended-range versions. The model is part of XPENG’s strategy to boost sales volume in the fourth quarter.
