XPENG announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Google to integrate the Google Play store natively into its vehicles’ AI-powered cockpits.
The integration will give users direct access to automotive-optimized apps for streaming, navigation and news on the car screen, without needing a phone.
Scheduled to go live in early 2027, the integration will work alongside XPENG’s existing intelligent systems, including its multilingual AI voice assistant. It builds on the company’s previous integration of Google Maps and deepens the technology partnership between the two firms.
