At the Paris Motor Show, XPeng Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said the company aims to sell 1 million vehicles globally each year by 2030. He expects half of those sales to come from Europe.
XPeng is focused on expanding beyond China and identified production capacity as a key bottleneck to address in Europe. In the first half of 2026, it was the top-selling Chinese new energy vehicle brand in France.
The company held the global launch of its new flagship G9L SUV at the show. The G9L is XPeng’s fourth model to be produced in Europe, and trial production has been completed at contract manufacturing partner Magna’s plant in Austria.
XPeng also plans to begin mass production of its IRON humanoid robot by the end of 2026. Deliveries are slated for the first half of 2027.
