On October 8, 2026, XPeng Inc. announced two milestones in its autonomous mobility and European expansion plans.
The company branded its Robotaxi unit XPENG YOYO and opened public online registration in China. The move shifts its autonomous-driving efforts from technical validation toward commercialization. XPeng said the service will operate under a distinct brand and form part of its plan to become a technology provider in the autonomous mobility ecosystem.
Separately, XPeng completed the first production trial of its next-generation AI flagship SUV, the G9L, at Magna’s facility in Graz, Austria. The milestone makes the G9L the fourth XPeng model to be produced in Europe.
The first vehicle from the trial is set to travel to the Paris Motor Show for its global premiere on October 12.
