TotalEnergies awarded Halliburton integrated well construction contracts for the GranMorgu development in Suriname’s Block 58. The agreement covers drilling and completion services for a long-term program. This project targets oil reserves estimated at over 750 million barrels.
Halliburton will deploy a fully integrated, digital, and automated model for well construction. The GranMorgu field expects a production capacity of up to 220,000 barrels of oil per day. First oil production is anticipated in 2028.
Total investment for the development is estimated at $12.2 billion. The project represents the first major deepwater development in Suriname. This initiative also supports the growth of local infrastructure.
