Schneider Electric completed a capital increase of €6.0 billion. It placed 25 million new ordinary shares with institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding process. Existing shareholders had no preferential subscription rights to the new shares.
The proceeds will partially finance Schneider Electric’s all-cash acquisition of U.S. industrial software company PTC Inc., valued at approximately $22.6 billion. The shares were priced at €240 each, about 4.99% below the closing price before the announcement. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2027.
