Saab AB signed a non-binding term sheet with the Canadian Defence Investment Agency, formally starting negotiations over a potential acquisition of GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft.
Canada has expressed its intention to purchase six GlobalEye aircraft to modernize its defense capabilities. The system provides long-range air, sea and land surveillance from a single platform. A successful contract would be a major order for one of Saab’s key strategic products.
