Roche Wins FDA Approval for Tecentriq in Stage III dMMR Colon Cancer

Roche said Genentech has received FDA approval for Tecentriq (atezolizumab) with chemotherapy as adjuvant treatment for stage III deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) colon cancer. This is the immunotherapy’s 12th U.S. indication.

In the Phase III ATOMIC study, the combination reduced the risk of disease recurrence or death by 50% compared with chemotherapy alone. The regimen could become a new standard of care for patients with this high-risk cancer after surgery.
