Meta Platforms launched its personal AI agent, Muse, in Japan on Friday, marking the service’s first availability outside North America. Users can access it through a dedicated smartphone app, with basic features available for free. Muse can perform tasks based on instructions users provide by text or voice.
Muse can book travel, summarize emails, and manage schedules by connecting with apps such as Gmail and Google Calendar. Meta also plans integrations with Japanese services, including online marketplace Mercari, personal finance app Money Forward ME, and ticketing service Ticket Pia.
Meta said users must approve actions such as sending emails or making purchases. The company added that Muse cannot access passwords or credit card information.
