Dream Finders Homes has completed its $2.2 billion all-cash acquisition of Atlanta-based Beazer Homes. Former Beazer shareholders will receive $33.50 per share.

The acquisition makes Jacksonville-based Dream Finders the sixth-largest homebuilder in the United States. It also expands the company’s national footprint, adding operations in four new states.

Beazer shareholders overwhelmingly approved the deal at a special meeting on October 15. The waiting period under federal antitrust law ended early. Beazer Homes common stock has been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.

Dream Finders CEO Patrick Zalupski said the deal closed in a “challenging housing environment” but emphasized its transformative effect on the company’s scale and market presence.
