Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) plans to unveil an updated Combat Air Teaming System (CATS) portfolio at Aero India 2027. The portfolio will include a new, larger CATS-Warrior Phase-II variant, marking a step forward in India’s development of manned-unmanned teaming capabilities for its air force.
Separately, HAL is preparing to deliver the first batch of its indigenously developed Light Utility Helicopter (LUH). The initial batch of 12 helicopters is targeted for the 2027-28 financial year. Six are designated for the Indian Army and six for the Indian Air Force. The deliveries would support India’s push for aerospace self-reliance and modernization of its light helicopter fleet.
