Alphabet’s Google has launched Gemini for Government Services, an AI platform designed to help U.S. federal, state, and local agencies improve operational efficiency. The service is currently in preview and offers pre-built and customizable AI agents for tasks including responding to information requests, redacting documents, and researching policies.
The platform integrates with software providers including Oracle, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, allowing agencies to use it within existing systems. It runs on Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure and follows U.S. data-residency and personnel controls to meet government security requirements.
The launch is part of Google’s effort to expand its share of the public-sector technology market by bringing its AI tools into government operations.
