TotalEnergies discovered oil at the Acacia-5 well on Block 17 offshore Angola. The company expects to start production just three months after the June 2026 discovery. This fast-track development will leverage existing capacity on the Pazflor FPSO. The new well will add 6,000 barrels per day to the block's output.
TotalEnergies also signed agreements with Angola's national oil agency, ANPG, to acquire new interests. The company secured a 40% operated stake in exploration blocks 17/25 and 32/21. These blocks are situated in the Lower Congo Basin near existing company assets. TotalEnergies has maintained an operational presence in Angola since 1953.
