TotalEnergies and partner AMNI reached a final investment decision for the Ima offshore gas field in Nigeria. The project will supply the Nigeria LNG (NLNG) liquefaction plant. This development supports the Train 7 expansion to increase capacity from 22 to 30 million metric tons annually.
The infrastructure includes a single platform and a 22-kilometer pipeline to the LNG facility. Production is scheduled to begin in 2028. Output is expected to reach a plateau of 350 million cubic feet of gas per day.
TotalEnergies will operate the project with a 40% interest. AMNI holds the remaining 60% stake.
