TotalEnergies SE reported a 68% year-over-year increase in second-quarter adjusted net income. Profit reached $6.03 billion for the period. Higher oil prices and robust refining margins drove the growth. Quarterly revenue reached $57.33 billion, missing some analyst expectations. CEO Patrick Pouyanné attributed the results to an integrated model that leveraged high market prices.

The Refining and Chemicals division posted adjusted net operating income of $1.8 billion. This figure rose from $389 million during the same period last year.

TotalEnergies increased its interim dividend by 5.9%. The payout rose to €0.90 per share. The company authorized up to $1.5 billion in share buybacks for the third quarter. Shares rose 2.8% in Paris trading following the announcement.
