Volatus Aerospace Inc. today officially opened its new 53,000-square-foot manufacturing and systems integration facility in Mirabel, Québec. Located in the aerospace cluster around Montréal-Mirabel International Airport, the facility expands the company’s Canadian production capabilities for uncrewed and autonomous systems.

The plant is operational and has begun producing drone docking stations. It will also support the integration and production of Volatus’ V-Series aircraft and other autonomous systems.

The company said the investment will help it meet growing requirements in defence, public safety and commercial markets in Canada and allied nations. Government, industry and community leaders attended the opening ceremony.
