Volatus Aerospace CFO Abhinav Singhvi outlined the company’s strategic pivot toward defense in an interview released on October 15, 2026.
Defense contributed under 5% of revenue in 2024. Volatus projects the share will reach approximately 40% in 2026.
The company opened a 53,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mirabel for drone production.
Singhvi discussed Volatus’ proprietary V-Cortex AI flight controller and autonomy operating system. He said owning the technology gives the company a competitive advantage.
The interview follows a C$25 million contract with the Canadian government. Volatus also acquired AISPECO, a sensor and software developer, to strengthen vertical integration for its aerial intelligence and defense business.
