easyJet faces a lawsuit for at least $72 million in the London High Court.
The Irish unit of Russia’s State Transport Leasing Co. (GTLK), STLC Europe Eight Leasing Limited, filed the claim.
The dispute involves six Airbus A319 aircraft.
The airline grounded the fleet in 2022 following sanctions against Russia.
The lessor alleges easyJet abandoned and neglected the planes in Madrid and Cyprus.
The claim includes $36.7 million in unpaid rent and interest.
The plaintiff also seeks $32.5 million for the alleged loss of aircraft value.
The lawsuit demands an additional €2.8 million to cover accumulated airport fees.
easyJet stated it intends to defend itself against the claim in full.
