A Libyan oil pipeline has reopened. An armed group had blocked the pipeline since September 21. It connects the Al-Sharara oilfield to the Zawiya export terminal.

Akakus operates the pipeline. This joint venture includes Equinor, Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC), Spain's Repsol, France's TotalEnergies, and Austria's OMV.

The NOC announced the reopening. The blockage at Libya's largest oilfield caused an estimated $95 million in losses. Crude pumping can now resume.

The disruption reportedly stemmed from demands by members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard.
