EDP Renewables (EDPR) reported a recurring net profit of €183 million for the first half of 2026. This figure represents a 33% increase from the previous year and exceeded analyst expectations. Reported net profit surged 96% year-over-year to €184 million.
Recurring EBITDA rose 8% to €1.03 billion during the period. Growth in the United States renewable energy portfolio and higher gains from asset rotation drove these results. Performance was stronger on a constant-currency basis, as a weaker U.S. dollar negatively impacted reported euro figures.
Total installed capacity increased 4% year-over-year to 20.5 gigawatts. Electricity sales dipped 2% due to lower power prices across Europe. Expanded capacity and profitable asset sales offset the decline in European pricing.
