EDP’s Brazilian subsidiary energized a 522-kilometer transmission line and a 730-MVAr substation in Piauí. This project represents the longest transmission line and largest substation EDP has ever built in Brazil. The company completed construction 34 months ahead of the regulatory deadline.

The new infrastructure enhances local transmission capacity and supports renewable energy outflow. EDP expects the asset to generate BRL 154 million in annual permitted revenue. This figure represents approximately USD 29.88 million in additional income.
