BYD completed its 2,000th highway flash charging station in China on Thursday.

The company reached this Flash Charging China strategy goal three months ahead of its year-end deadline.

The expanded network launches before an anticipated travel surge during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

BYD aims to establish 20,000 total flash charging stations by the end of 2026.

The company has built 11,586 stations across 341 cities as of September 24.

This infrastructure push counters heavy fast-charging investments from rival Chinese EV manufacturers.
