Brookfield Corp finalized the R$1.4 billion acquisition of eight logistics parks from Marq Logistics, an Ares Management platform. The transaction adds 562,700 square meters of gross leasable area to the company's regional portfolio. This deal represents a 55% expansion of Brookfield's logistics footprint in Brazil.
The portfolio includes four assets in São Paulo and four in Rio de Janeiro. This acquisition marks Brookfield's first entry into the Rio de Janeiro logistics market. The acquired properties currently maintain an 80% occupancy rate. Brookfield intends to leverage its management expertise to raise occupancy toward its existing 99% portfolio average.
Brookfield now owns 22 logistics properties across the country. The new assets are located in key hubs including Vinhedo, the Dutra corridor, Campo Grande, and Irajá. Major tenants in these warehouses include Shopee, Colgate, and Procter & Gamble.
