Brookfield Asset Management and CPP Investments will acquire LXP Industrial Trust in an all-cash deal. The transaction is valued at approximately $5.2 billion, including debt.

LXP shareholders will receive $61.20 per share. This price represents a 12.3% premium over the 30-day volume-weighted average price as of July 17, 2026.

The acquisition will take the publicly traded real estate investment trust private. The buyers will gain control of 108 modern warehouse and logistics facilities. The portfolio spans approximately 53 million square feet across the U.S. Sunbelt and Midwest.

LXP’s board of directors unanimously approved the transaction. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending shareholder approval.
