BASF received FDA clearance to market its Bemotrizinol UV filter, branded as Tinosorb S, in the United States. The company holds a co-exclusive right to sell the ingredient for an 18-month period.

This approval creates a new revenue stream for BASF’s Care Chemicals division. The expansion occurs as BASF targets €2.1 billion in annual cost savings by the end of 2026.

BASF is also finalizing a major investment in its China Verbund site. While the company’s valuation remains near fair value, this regulatory milestone may improve investor sentiment.
