Alimentation Couche-Tard will acquire retail assets from Irving Oil in Quebec and Ontario. The transaction includes 52 retail fuel sites. It also includes 18 cardlock locations for commercial fleets. A fuel supply agreement covers an additional 71 Couche-Tard owned and operated sites in Quebec.
The acquisition strengthens a long-standing relationship between the companies. Couche-Tard already operated the retail sites under a previous alliance with Irving Oil. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition. The transaction requires customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including a review under the Competition Act.
