Alimentation Couche-Tard reported first-quarter adjusted earnings that exceeded analyst expectations.

Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 15.4% year-over-year to 90 cents. This result beat the Bloomberg consensus estimate of 88 cents. Revenue increased 25.1% to $21.7 billion, surpassing the projected $20.83 billion.

CEO Alex Miller addressed shifting consumer behavior during a September 2, 2026, earnings call. Rising living and fuel costs have made shoppers more deliberate with their purchases. Sales for carbonated soft drinks, salty snacks, and sweets have fallen below typical levels.

Couche-Tard is now adjusting product assortments, shelf space, and promotions to match current demand.
