Airbus SE said at a pre-earnings conference that it is maintaining its full-year target of delivering 870 aircraft. The confirmation eased concerns about production capabilities and reassured investors.
Airbus shares rose about 1.5% in Paris trading and traded around €193.
The company cautioned that third-quarter profitability could come under pressure. It attributed the risk to slightly lower-than-expected deliveries, quality issues, and higher research and development expenses. Airbus delivered 196 aircraft in the third quarter, compared with 201 a year earlier.
The company is scheduled to release results for the first nine months on October 28.
