AbbVie and partner Genmab announced positive topline results from the Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-2 trial. The study evaluated epcoritamab plus standard R-CHOP chemotherapy in patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), an aggressive form of cancer.

The combination met the trial’s primary endpoint, delivering a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival compared with R-CHOP alone. It reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 51%.

The combination’s safety profile was generally well tolerated and consistent with the known profiles of the individual drugs. The findings suggest epcoritamab plus R-CHOP could become a new standard of care for this patient population and strengthen AbbVie’s oncology portfolio.
