AbbVie announced positive results from its Phase 2a study of ABBV-466. ABBV-466 is an investigational dual-targeting therapy for moderate to severe Crohn's disease. Data presented at United European Gastroenterology Week showed ABBV-466 achieved higher rates of endoscopic remission than single-target therapies.
At 12 weeks, 30.2% of patients on ABBV-466 reached the primary endpoint. An anti-IL-23 therapy achieved 21.3%. An anti-α4β7 therapy showed 18.0%. By week 24, the remission rate for ABBV-466 improved to 40.5%. This widened the gap with monotherapies. The dual-target drug's safety profile compared to single-target treatments.
