BYD is finalizing plans for a second European manufacturing plant to accelerate its regional expansion. Teams are currently scouting potential locations in Spain and France. The company prefers acquiring an existing facility over building a new one to speed up local production.

A senior adviser stated the company must reach a final decision very soon. This new facility will complement BYD’s first European plant in Hungary. The Hungarian site remains on track to begin production in the fourth quarter.

Establishing a second production base helps BYD mitigate potential EU tariffs on imported Chinese vehicles. The strategy aims to solidify the company's position following a surge in European sales.
