The Kraft Heinz Company (KHC) reported third-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.53 per share. That topped Wall Street estimates of $0.42 per share.
Revenue was $6.12 billion, slightly above forecasts. It declined 2.0% from a year earlier. Organic net sales fell 1.1%, primarily because of continued volume weakness in North America.
Organic sales in North America declined 3.2%. In Emerging Markets, organic sales surged 15.6%, helping offset the North American decline. Cost inflation and lower volumes remained pressures.
KHC shares rose more than 3% in pre-market trading after the results. Kraft Heinz raised its full-year adjusted earnings guidance to $2.07 to $2.13 per share, reflecting management’s optimism about navigating the challenging consumer landscape and advancing its turnaround strategy, particularly through international growth.
