Verizon and BT Group agreed to merge their international enterprise operations into a 50:50 joint venture. This new entity expects to generate approximately $4 billion in combined annual revenue. The partnership serves a client base of over 3,000 customers across 180 countries.
The venture combines BT International’s secure communication services with Verizon’s international enterprise wireline division. This scaled platform targets multinational corporations focused on cloud and AI technologies.
The move increases competition for AT&T in the international enterprise and government telecommunications sectors. The transaction is scheduled to close in 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
