S.N. Nuclearelectrica S.A. signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with Nucleoelectrica Argentina Sociedad Anonimă. The agreement focuses on the operation and development of CANDU 6 nuclear technology.
Both companies currently operate CANDU 6 reactors. They will share expertise in engineering, maintenance, reactor life extension, and nuclear safety.
The partnership supports the refurbishment of Unit 1 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. It also facilitates the development of Units 3 and 4.
A steering committee will be established to manage the collaboration. The group will explore support for the construction of additional nuclear units.
