SK Hynix subsidiary Solidigm is considering a new NAND flash memory factory in the United States. Upstate New York serves as the leading candidate for the potential site.

The project aligns with U.S. administration efforts to reshore semiconductor production and strengthen domestic supply chains.

This initiative remains separate from SK Hynix’s existing discussions with Intel regarding manufacturing at an Ohio facility. The company has not reached a final decision.
