SK hynix announced a new shareholder return policy on August 16 following record-breaking second-quarter results.
The company will allocate 50% of its free cash flow to shareholder returns between 2025 and 2027. Management is currently reviewing additional return measures to be finalized in the third quarter.
Market analysts project the new policy could return up to 100 trillion won ($72 billion) annually to shareholders. This move follows similar large-scale return plans recently announced by competitor Samsung.
Securities firms suggest these robust return policies could drive a rally in large-cap stocks due to the company's significant investment capacity.
