Scandium Canada subsidiary Scalium+ will supply its proprietary Scalium® aluminum-scandium alloy for Ferreol Skis' entire 2026-2027 collection. This agreement represents a major commercial milestone and the first high-volume deployment of the material. Every ski in the upcoming collection will integrate the alloy as thin 0.4 mm sheets.
The deal serves as a commercial proof-of-concept for Scandium Canada’s strategy to monetize alloys while developing its Crater Lake scandium project. Ferreol Skis reports the alloy improves on-snow performance and durability compared to high-strength aluminum sheets used by the industry for over 40 years. The material is also utilized in military skis designed for the Canadian Department of National Defence and NATO allies.
