At its SAP Connect conference, SAP SE outlined its vision for the Autonomous Enterprise, powered by a new suite of artificial intelligence tools. The announcement centers on Joule Work, a new AI interface, and Joule Assistants, which are designed to automate and coordinate complex workflows across finance, supply chain, and HR.

The tools run on the SAP Business AI Platform, which combines data and business context to deliver more reliable outcomes. The platform enables specialized AI agents to carry out multistep tasks across SAP and third-party systems.

Novartis and PwC are among the early adopters piloting the capabilities. SAP reported a 20% productivity gain from its own internal use.
