Rua Bioscience has officially named UK medicinal cannabis manufacturer and distributor Curaleaf Laboratories as its partner in a two-year export agreement announced in July. The deal is expected to generate approximately NZ$10 million in revenue.
Rua’s first products—dried cannabis flower for inhalation—are now in transit to the UK via Portugal. The company expects to recognize its first revenue from the agreement before Christmas 2026.
The partnership gives Rua access to the growing UK market through Curaleaf’s established manufacturing and distribution networks, without the significant capital investment required to build its own infrastructure. The agreement is a step in Rua’s international expansion strategy.
