Remgro Limited has finalized the restructuring of its interests in Mediclinic Holdings. This transaction concludes a process first detailed in March 2026.
Remgro now owns 100% of Mediclinic’s Southern African business unit (MCSA). Partner Investment Holding Limited (IHL) assumed full ownership of the Swiss business, Hirslanden.
Remgro acquired the MCSA Group for an adjusted consideration of $947 million. The company also received a $130 million cash distribution to equalize the values of the two business units.
This strategic move solidifies Remgro’s control over Southern African private healthcare operations. The transaction closed following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
