A federal jury in Delaware found that Arm breached its licensing agreement with Qualcomm and interfered with Qualcomm’s business. The jury awarded Qualcomm $2 in damages.

Qualcomm said it was satisfied with the verdict, which it views as leverage in future litigation over royalty payments to Arm. Qualcomm is seeking to halt those payments, potentially saving billions.

After the verdict, Qualcomm shares rose about 2%, while Arm shares edged lower. Both companies said they were pleased with the outcome.

The dispute involved Arm withholding software and tools and interfering with a potential deal between Qualcomm and Meta.
